Balance of Forces
What is it?
When an aircraft or other vehicle is in motion, there are numerous forces that effect it. Often these forces must be balanced so that the aircraft can maintain steady flight.
Give me an example!
Have you ever noticed that rockets have fins on them? These fins are to help balance the forces of motion when the rocket's acceleration thrusts it upward. Without them, the rocket would spin around and around and go out of control. The fins help in the balance of forces that effect the rocket.
