Vector Quantity

Vector Quantity

What is it?

A vector quantity has both magnitude (or size) and direction. Force, velocity, and acceleration are vector quantities. Vector quantities belong to bodies that are in motion and are usually represented by arrows.

Give me an example!

Imagine a car driving down the road. You can measure the size and direction of the car's
velocity and acceleration. You could measure the amount of torque the engine is imparting to the wheels. These are all vector quantities.
