Sir Isaac Newton
What is it?
You might ask yourself, "Who sits around and thinks about physics all day?" or "Why do I have to do Calculus homework?" The blame for both of these things (and many other academic problems) belongs to one man...Sir Isaac Newton.
Give me an example!
Sir Isaac Newton was born January 4, 1643, and is said to be one of the most important figures in the scientific revolution of the 17th Century (1600s). Newton made many fundamental contributions in every major area of science and mathematics. Newton created Calculus. He discovered that white light is actually made of a mixture of different colors of light. He developed the three major laws of physics.
Legend has it that Newton discovered gravity when a ripe apple fell from a tree he was sitting under and hit him on the head. After living a long and full life, Sir Isaac Newton died on March 31, 1727, at the age of 84.
