Capillaries
What is it?
Capillaries lie between the arteries which carry blood from the heart and veins carrying blood back to the heart. Gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide as well as important metabolic materials that travel by diffusion across the membranes of capillaries into the body.
Give me an example!
Capillaries are the interface between the circulatory system and the tissues of the body itself. There are beds of capillaries throughout your body, in fact there is at least one capillary within I/100th of a millimeter of each of the cells in your body!
