Chemical Reaction
What is it?
A chemical reaction occurs when two different elements or compounds come together and at least one of them changes its composition or identity.
Give me an example!
When sodium atoms (Na) combine with chlorine atoms (Cl) to form sodium chloride (NaCl), a chemical reaction has occurred. The two elements (sodium and chlorine) have come together, and together they form a third entirely new compound -- common table salt!
