A Linear Equation is an equation in which the variables (or unknowns) occur only to the first power, multiplied only by constants!
Give me an example!
For example, the equation:
4x-3= square root of 2
is linear with one variable. A linear equation in two variables has a graph that is a straight line in the coordinate plane. A linear equation in three variables has a graph which is a plane in 3-space.
