What is it?
Exothermic reactions are chemical reactions that produce (or give off) heat. Exothermic is the opposite of endothermic.
Give me an example!
Have you ever warmed yourself by a fireplace? The combustion of the wood in the fireplace is an exothermic reaction because it gives off heat.
